Our introductory wine course will help you to understand wine and make better
choices...but also have fun!
This introductory course takes approximately two hours. You
will be greeted with a glass of Holmfirth Vineyardís finest to wake your palate before we get started!
Taking this course at a working vineyard and winery is a unique
advantage. Led by one of our experienced winemaking team, you will be able to view
the vineyard and winery first-hand, gaining a better understanding of the whole
process from grape to bottle.
The Tasting
The tasting takes place in our modern Tasting Lounge that
overlooks the 7 acre vineyard. Weíll
taste more than 6 wines from around the world and offer guidance to enhance
your appreciation of the wine.
First and foremost this tasting is supposed to be a relaxed,
fun way to learn about wine and meet like-minded people. To conclude we will
introduce the competitive element: You'll take part in a blind tasting and use
all the skills you've picked up to successfully assess the wines in question.
Our best taster will get a bottle of Holmfirth wine to take home with them!
