Vineyard Tours

With 7 acres of vineyard and unrivalled, panoramic views of the Holme Valley, Holmfirth Vineyard is a perfect destination for a unique day out. Make the most of your visit and join us on one of our twice daily tours. On the tour weíll attempt to inform the novice and expert alike on the history of the vineyard, what we grow here and how we manage it. Here weíll introduce you to the carefully selected modern varieties we grow here that have been developed to thrive in Northern latitudes. Youíll get a tour of winery where youíll learn about the winemaking process and get to taste three wines from our range. We have a number of unique packages available should you wish to follow your tour with lunch or afternoon tea in our restaurant.

Tour group sizes can be between 2-40 people.

The tour & tasting takes about 1-1.5 hours and includes a walk around the vineyard (weather permitting), discussing how it was planted what varieties we have and why they were chosen answering any questions you may have. We then taste 3 English wines a red, white and rose and discuss their qualities and what they are made from, what you can taste and smell etc. Please bring suitable outdoor clothing and footwear as the weather may be unpredictable.

The standard tour costs £6.99 per person (2012-13), pre-booking is recommended as space is limited for each tour, tours run every day at 10.30am.

Private group vineyard tours for groups over 15 persons are also available in afternoons and evenings, please call for availability and details. 01484 691 861.

Hi,

Thanks both for a very entertaining evening yesterday, we had a great time and we're looking forward to coming back during daylight hours to see the vineyard properly!Thanks also for showing us some of your F1 pictures and telling us a few stories about your time in F1 - that was fascinating in itself.

Wine and F1 are two of my favourite things, so for me it could only have improved by being able to watch a race at the same time!

Best of luck with both baby and vineyard, we hope to see you both again sometime soon.
