On Wednesday 30th September 2009 7-9am BBC Radio Leeds will be interviewing a group of wine tasters from Holmfirth Vineyard. Listen online or tune to DAB or 92.4/95.3FM
Vineyard Tours and Wine Tasting dates announced... (Mon/24/08/2009 @ 16:04:31)
Vineyard tours are currently available by pre booking, call us on 0113 815 5588 or emailing contactus@holmfirthvineyard.com and put tour in the subject title. Tour group sizes can be between 2-30 people.
The next tour dates with wine tasting are:
Sunday September 27th
10.30, 13.30 or 16.00
Monday September 28th
11.00 or 14.00
Tuesday September 29th
10.00.
The tour & tasting takes about 1½ -2 hours and includes a walk around the vineyard, discussing how it was planted what varieties we have and why they were chosen answering any questions you may have. We then taste 3 English wines a red, white and rose and discuss their qualities and what they are made form, what you can taste and smell etc…Please bring suitable outdoor clothing and footwear as the weather may be unpredictable.
The tour costs £4.00 per person please pre book as soon as possible by email to contactus@holmfirthvineyard.com .

Build a New Life in the Country series starts again on 15th June @ 9pm on Channel 5, with Holmfirth Vineyard as the first in its popular series.
Follow Bec & Ian's progress over the last 12 months restoring their Grade II listed farmhouse and planting 7000 vines by hand to create Holmfirth Vineyard.

Over the past 12 Months Ian and Rebecca have been followed building the Vineyard by a camera crew. Later this year the program will by aired on prime time UK television, more news to follow in the future.

On
the 10th March 2009 Ian and Becky, the owners of Holmfirth Vineyard were invited by Graham Livers and his BBC Radio team for an interview to discuss the new business venture of Holmfirth Vineyard.
As well as Graham interviewing, Jimmy Osmond made a surprise visit to the studio and added his own questions to the interview, which were found to be most entertaining.
